2026 — A collaboration between YCCIJ and Juliana Maurer.

The installation consists of four wearable bronze objects and their corresponding glass bodies. Originating from shells collected over generations, the forms were rearranged, moulded, and translated into bronze.

Each glass body captures the shape of its bronze counterpart - an imprint of an imprint.

During their encounter, the materials leave visible traces. The glass preserves the impression of the bronze, while heat and oxidation mark the surface.

The work explores memory, relics, and material transformation. Shells, bronze, and glass form a chain of translations, in which each form carries the trace of its predecessor.

The glass becomes a pedestal, preserving the trace of the object.
